About This Event
This is our 3rd Annual Texas Annihilator 5K sponsored by Ashley Furniture of Killeen with 100% of the proceeds to benefit McLane Children's Hospital. Here, Jose Segarra, Mayor of Killeen, will issue and read the Proclamation officially naming October 1, 2016 "The Texas Annihilator 5K Day."

The mission of the Annihilator Running Club and the character “The Annihilator of Childhood Cancer” is to annihilate childhood cancer by raising money to support cancer research, hospitals, cancer prevention and early detection.

Our vision is to Run A Mile or More In the Shoes of the Children and Families that Have Been Impacted by the Effects of Childhood Cancer!

The Annihilator Running Club and the character “The Annihilator of Childhood Cancer will carry out its mission and vision statement through Research, Raising Awareness, Hosting Events ,Education, Advocacy and Community Outreach.
The Expo, Race Packet Pickup & Registration
The Expo, Packet pickup (T-Shirts and Bibs) and Registration will be held on September 30, 2016 from 9am-5pm at Ashley Furniture Homestore of Killeen at 1101 South W.S. Young Drive, Killeen and Race Day registration will be held on October 1, 2016 from 7-8am. Race starts promptly at 9am on Saturday, October 1, 2016.
Military, Teachers, and First Responders Discount
Active Military, Reserves, Military Retirees, Veterans, Military dependents, Bell County High Schools, and First Responders Registration Fee: $15 if registered by 9/1/16, then normal registration fees apply (Must have Valid ID to receive discount). Fee: then becomes $30 until 9/21/16 then $50 thereafter.

PARKING
Please see our parking map. Parking is clearly marked throughout the Killeen Community Center Parking and the softball fields.
Directions
FROM 190: Take U.S. 190 exit W.S. Young and turn southbound onto W.S. Young and the intersection of E. Veterans Memorial Blvd.
FROM Fort Hood: Take Rancier to W.S. Young and head northbound on W.S. Young and the intersection of Veterans Memorial Blvd
FROM 195: Take 195 (FORT HOOD STREET) Southbound turn right onto Veteran's Memorial through downtown until you arrive at the corner of W.S. Young.
Awards
1st and 2nd place finishers in each categories will receive a prize.
Refreshments
We will have plenty of refreshments: food, drink, and we even may bring back the Texas brisket from last year. Free to all registrants.
Post Race Party
The Pre and Post race celebration will be brought to you by D.J. Maxxed Out.
